Welcome to the website of the EmptyNesters of Washington Hebrew Congregation.
Somewhere between the young Couples Club and seasoned Prime Timers are the Empty Nesters, couples and singles who enjoy each other's company and the special programs they themselves plan.
Empty Nesters have enjoyed retreat weekends, concerts, art exhibits, trips to Jewish Baltimore and New York, Shabbat dinners. Havdalah under the stars, a pool party at a member's home and living room learning with Rabbi Lustig.
During the coming year, we will continue to celebrate Shabbat in small intimate settings in members' homes, attend cultural events, dinners and a brunch with an interesting speaker. Once a month on Sundays in the fall and spring, we meet in Bethesda to walk on the Capital Crescent Trail and go to brunch at one of the nearby restaurants. During the winter, we continue our walking events indoors. Throughout the year, we also participate in Mitzvah moments at N Street Village.
